This was great, super helpful. Of note, when I plugged the camera into my Mac after changing the setting, the Canon EOS utility software still said it wouldn't recognize, but when I went into zoom, it was there. So, for whatever that's worth, lol.

The R100 is a great camera now that they are selling for $249 to $299 brand new on eBay. Definitely not worth the original MSRP, but it's a great little beast with much better build quality than the previous cheap offering, the T100 (that had a plastic lens mount).

is this still worth it to buy til now ?

THANK YOU DURNIT!!!!! I've been wanting to hear a full on sound test because one thing I CANNOT STAND is audio that chirps and clips even with normal speaking. Your FULL VIDEO SOUND CHECK WAS AWESOME!!!! It sounds crispy and it's not clipping hard to death. Yelling it might clip BUT it's for talking not yelling so that makes it awesome. I need something for conferences and it confirms that it's capable. I had some cheapo "LensGo" brand and speaking normal it clips HARD AF with or without wired lav mics. Your video is also the only one that explains the actual details like turning off and on automatically. that's a great feature.

Thank you very much, I tried this camera today first time as a webcam with my work laptop (MBP) and it didn't work, glad that after changing this setting Google Meet immediately recognized the camera after I had changed the setting and turned camera off and then back on. This was helpful :)
